This class will teach you how to design a sure-fire plan for paying off all debt, recognize dangerous money myths, and set yourself up for wealth and retirement. Lessons focus on how to use your mind and time to create personal wealth. Recharge your creative outlook with simple principles that will present new opportunities of adding value everywhere you go. Recognize the value of preparation and how the small details in life make a large difference and learn how to create the life you desire.

“I’m able to look beyond my own judgments of others now.” “You brought me relief. Now I can move on and I know there are people that care about me.” “I’m so proud to be a part of what we’re doing.” These few quotes are just a glimpse into the everyday endeavors of the Go intern team while in South Africa. This Tuesday, ministry was redefined as the interns made their way through the streets of Cape Town, one of the most influential cities in South Africa. Bringing the Dream Campaign to new terrain, the Go team once again spread the love of Jesus in a new and refreshing way. Smiling faces flocked around the cameras as the locals had their dreams reawakened while participating in this powerful campaign. Just getting started, they finished their work to continue with a brand new ministry project entitled: The Forgiven Movement. The movement was designed to create an opportunity to share God’s message of love and forgiveness in a unique way. Micah 7:19 states that because of His mercy God will “cast all our sins into the bottom of the sea”. The Go Team, invited individuals to put pen to paper, and write down what they needed forgiveness for or who they needed to forgive, and then put the message in a bottle which would be emptied and tossed into the sea. Walking along the boardwalk of the V&A Waterfront, Go Interns invited the people they encountered to join in this movement. Once complete strangers, the Cape Town natives opened up their lives and expressed their desire for forgiveness. Many powerful stories were created during this new ministry. Revisiting the Dream Campaign on the V&A Waterfront, the team opened up the hearts of many new faces while they expressed their dreams. The clock struck 9, but the night was not over for the interns. Go International strives to imitate Christ in all areas of our lives, including the way we do ministry. If one were to look at the patterns of Christ’s ministry while on earth, one would discover that Jesus spent time in the “unexpected” places, building relationships with those who were in need of His love and grace. The interns were given an opportunity to do ministry just as Jesus did through a new ministry project, Light the Night. The interns headed out for the night to a local pool hall to hang out with the young locals and build relationships. Over a few games of pool and one or two cokes, the interns were able to breathe life into those that they met. Arriving back to “home base”, the interns were chatting about not only how much fun they had, but also about the divine conversations they had throughout the night. God only knows who will be impacted in these next few days, but if today is any sign of the upcoming future, we consider ourselves to be very fortunate.

The story of the mystery continues, tomorrow.

After 27 hours of traveling,
three plane rides,
and a stamp in our passports,
We, Go International’s staff and interns, have safely arrived in johannesburg, South Africa.

Although, it was a long journey to South Africa,
the interns are ecstatic to be here.
In fact if it was up to them, we’d probably start ministry right this second.
Listening closely to the chattering going on amongst the interns, one
can gather that they have high expectations for what is going to happen in the city of Johannesburg.

Tomorrow is a new day, full of possibilities.
With passion in their hearts,
the interns will face tomorrow,
as the apostle Paul did in Acts 6:9,
when the Lord said, “Go into the city,
and I will tell you what you must do.”
As Paul did, the interns are trusting that the mystery
is going to unfold in a beautiful and adventurous way.

For many of us the suffering of others around the world can be overwhelming. Sometimes, it seems easier to turn our eyes away from disturbing stories of rape, incest, murder, starvation, slavery and genocide. The Eyes Wide Open series exposes these overwhelming issues in a real and raw format.

Ephesians 1:8 says this, “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you…” Many times we read that scripture and we think that it’s all about “us”.

Our life.

Our call.

We can tend to read the scriptures with a centric focus, and think that it’s all about “me”. But what about the person whose only hope is that you know your call? Think of the child, who’s sold into a life of prostitution and slavery and their only hope is that someone would come and rescue them. The child dying of starvation… your life may be their only hope.

Below is some feedback of what some of our interns have gotten out of this series.

So how do you feel about this series?

It sounds like such a cliche` answer, but I seriously can’t believe I didn’t know this was going on. Everything that we’ve gone over so far seems so barbaric, yet it is happening right now. – Anna Brown

Now learning about social injustice issues in the world, how has it motivated or inspired you?

Two things that came to mind as I was going through this series. The first is realizing that with the technology we have at our fingertips as Americans we have the ability to take down many of these issues with a video camera, a few clicks on our computer, and the power of one plus one.

The second is, as I was thinking about the absolutely stupid reasons behind why some of the most major social injustices are happening in our world today, it inspired me to want to be a part of making change happen from the top level down.

Obviously, we all have the responsibility to, at the very least, support the efforts of all who are making a difference in these situations, but realizing that it only takes one to spearhead such life-giving operations and make it all a reality is a humbling and empowering thought.

So simply understanding that no matter if you are only one person with a video camera, or a influential political figure, these issues can be changed. All it takes is us taking the initiative and deciding to get it done. – Anna Steininger

What issue would you say most impacted you?

ALL of them. It is sickening that these people are forced into these ways of living and that their normal life is horrific. It makes me want to start somewhere. I am praying for all these groups that God will send laborers. I am only one person, but I can ask God to show me what I can do to make a difference in these people’s lives. – Kelly Drury

Simply put, this year’s Go Weekend can only be expressed with one word: “Amazing”. Who knew that in such a short amount of time so much could be accomplished? As one of the interns, Brittany Norris put it: ”It should’ve been called, ‘A lifetime’s worth of lessons in one weekend’ weekend.”  Starting Friday, the interns quickly took hold of the core values that were presented to them and established friendships without hesitation. Continuing into Saturday they showed the love of God through various outreach opportunities and leadership challenges that stretched their abilities to new lengths. Lauren Bruhn, another first year stated that: ”Through the Go Weekend, I slowly let myself accept the beauty and uniqueness that God gave me! Ahh, it was like a breath of fresh air.” It was evident that not only were people’s lives touched in Kansas City, as well as the members of our team. As it ended on Sunday, it was apparent that a new family had emerged and that this year’s group of Go Interns had a new energy and momentum! We are expectant to head into the year with this group of wonderful people who are willing to dedicate themselves to reaching others!

Fall is around the corner and the time for new beginnings has quickly approached us once again. Five years ago this month, the Go Internship started with a handful of ambitious individuals chasing God’s heart and plan for their lives. Now, a new group of young and expectant interns arrive to place their hands in the new year’s work and make their mark in the lives of those around the globe.

Starting off this year, we carry on the beloved yearly tradition of the Go Weekend- continuing for it’s fifth and quite possibly; it’s most creative time yet. This fun-packed and thought-provoking voyage is merely the beginning of things to come.

Today we arrived in Panama City and have already picked up where we have left off in Miami. Our training has continued at a vigorous pace, but our team members have risen to the challenge. The team’s positive outlook and enthusiasm is shown not only in the daily demeanor, but also in how they approach their training as a sacrifice of love for the Kuna people. The air is charged with hope and compassion and we haven’t even arrived to the islands yet! Along with each team there is an integral part to play. With everything from the water systems being installed to the medical clinics teaching the locals and even the Evangelism teams loving the people; it is apparent that every individual is taking on their role with a sense of duty and commitment. Only one more day until all the projects begin and only one more day until the Kunas experience the love of Christ in action!

Just as a heads up, we unfortunately will not be able to do web updates while we are on the islands. Although we love getting to share daily photos and stories with everyone back home, we are so excited to have this rare opportunity to reach such a primitive group of people. Hello! Everyone has arrived safely in Miami and the energy is running high with each of the team members. We started off with orientation following dinner and we finished the night with a pool party and a lively game of water volleyball! All of us are very excited and have high expectations for what God is going to accomplish through each individual during this trip!
